3rd activity in Brunei

... I remember my remaining days in the Philippines in search for a job that will satisfy me. I prayed to God... that when the right time comes I want to change for the better... I prayed for a better job, a healthy lifestyle and to know HIM more of course love is not my priority then for I'm still in search for the REAL ME... that's all I wanted from him. I never expected that Brunei will be the gateway to fulfill one of my wishes... though the job thing is left unanswered but the 2nd one which is to have a healthy lifestyle was fulfilled. GOD is really good all the time. My hiking days was over but it didn't stop there. My cousin once invited me to participate in the World Heart Day at Jerudong Park. Everyone are invited to participate in the said event. And it's my first time to join. We had Aerobics and it was fun and then we do some tai chi... tai chi is so relaxing. Very tiring but it was all worth it and fun. <3

Sweaty all over but it was FUN :)

.... Continuation

... 2nd activity in Brunei: Jerudong Park... hmmm... thinking what's with this park??? They said that it's a theme park for children wherein there are different rides to enjoy from. Though not a kid anymore, I'm quite excited to visit this place plus entrance is FREE. Oh my!!! my favorite "free of charge". Of course were on the go. :) The theme park is actually closed for such a long time but tourist are allowed to visit the place for some sort of viewing and picture taking. But here's trivia for everyone... before entering that place tourist made sure that they have a picture posing on that big replica ring that Sultan Bolkiah gave to his 2nd wife. Just like what we did. :)

There's the replica. :)

A Trip to BRUNEI

Brunei.... here I come!!! as the plane was about to land at Brunei International airport I was so excited to finally meet my cousin who's waiting for me. As I look at the window of the airplane a man looked and smiled at me. Oooopppssss.... creepy.. for the man is so dark perhaps an Indian man. Here comes the long queue at the immigration counter again. But while on the line I'm thinking were to get my luggage but of course I have my own tactics then, to go where most of the people were. hahahaahhah! :) As we are on our way to my cousin's house I'm starting to feel the beauty of Brunei. It's so different from the Philippines. There's no people or even vendors scattered around the streets. It's so clean and peaceful. Hmmmmm... seems like I can contemplate or perhaps it's the place where I can search for myself. Sounds interesting. If youre going to have a picture of Brunei itself it's not as fabulous as other countries for it's just a small country as we know and it's just so simple. Buildings here are not so tall as what we saw in Makati. As a friend told me, the sultan wanted to preserve the natural resources of the country. I was amazed then. :)

MY FIRST ACTIVITY just started: The first place that I visited was Tasek. It's a mountain were people can go on a hiking but there are also playgrounds here were kids can play and they also have this tower to have an overlooking of the whole Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei's capital) and other activities may be done here like aerobics, wushu.. name it. They all have it here and oh! most of the people visiting the place are Chinese. :) The first level of our Hiking moments was not easy. It almost killed me.That was just the first level. Anyways, that was just my first time then, so things can be learned. Right??? :)

An overview from the Tower

Still at the Tower with the Wushu team

My First International Flight... All aboard!!!!

Here we go!!!! My first ever International trip. Excited and a bit nervous because I dunno what to expect or how does it feel to be in another country.... what to wear???? what to eat??? how to act??? what's the language? culture? tradition?... This trip was a gift given by my cousin (Ate Leah) because her family is staying there for years. I have two purpose for this trip... 1st is to explore the wonders of Brunei and trying my luck (you know what I mean). To have a background of the country, I tried to research information about the place. I even processed my visa by sacrificing myself in the long queue in the embassy. But I was just given a 1month visa though my roundtrip ticket is for 3mos. No problem though. The day of my departure came. It was on the 24th of August 2010.

The BERRAS Sisters... my Lil' Kiddos

It was the 31st day of July 2006 when we are all excited for the coming of the 1st ever baby in our family, my 1st ever niece. I was still in college then and wasn't able to visit my sister in the hospital because I'm still busy in school. My sister had a long labor in the hospital. Excited to see the baby she was so small and cute. She was named Ashley Nicole, a name given by my mother. Ashley grew up with us because her parents are working. I just so love babies that's why every weekend I'm going home just to see her and of course to take care of her. Ash grew so fast ... she brought happiness in my parents and even in our relatives. Everyone loves her so much. One unforgettable moment with her... when she had a fever, so weak and easily irritated... I became her private nurse. I was just cuddling her the whole night just to make her feel comfortable and I never slept at all. And from there I made a realization that it wasn't easy to be a parent. It takes a lot of responsibilities, effort and SACRIFICE. It made me appreciate my parents even more. But it's so fulfilling seeing Ash growing so fast.

Ash striked a pose. She gave her best shot.

Birthdays... 4yrs in a ROW

Birthdays are celebrated once every year.  And for most kids they are just so excited for their birthdays but for adults like me it's not so exciting anymore for the mere fact that your going to be a year older. But it's always nice to reminisce those childhood moments of how happy I am during my birthdays. Anyways, I celebrated my birthday on the 28th of August. I don't know how I celebrated my 1st ever birthday... I haven't ask my mom about it and I haven't really thought about it. All I can remember is that every birthdays my mom never failed to throw a little "salo-salo" and of course the most exciting part is... how my birthday cake looks like.

First Timer

This was my first ever blog. So I'm welcoming myself and excited for the next blogs that I'm going to share. Hmmmm... it took me years to decide whether to pursue this blog or not and finally it's here. :) I reallly had so many things in mind but i dunno where to start. Well, it's a very sunny day here in Riyadh. The temperature is giving me so much headache. 40 degrees is no joke. I remember last holiday when everyone is busy celebrating their Eid Mubarak and here I am.. felt like a prisoner and bored decided to do the laudry and when I went outside to hang my clothes... I felt the hotness of the sun that almost burned my skin. See??? No need for me to go to the beach inorder to achieve that tan look. But on a positive note... I love sunny days rather than rainy. Because for me rainy days symbolizes sadness. Good thing there's no rain here in Saudi atleast I don't feel the sadness that the rain would give me most especially now that I'm away from my family and loved ones.  ohhhhh!!! Homesickness strikes again. :)
